they keep "flooding the zone" with the worst optics imaginable. i feel like any reasonable person under 50 that voted for trump is afraid to admit they did in public.

the tylenol causes autism thing is another one that was considered so universally stupid, trump voters are ashamed to hold their L

We wouldn't have beef without trump

And I told the ranchers you have to release the beef. Theres tremendous beef that comes down from the north. You have to let that beef come down to the city where people can eat it. So I turned on the beef valve and saved the ranchers.

short of, "i have a networth north of $200million" or something, you cannot covince me there is a "reasonable" person under 50 who votes Republican. and obviously i'm not making excuses for the extremely rich, that just makes sense financially at the very least.

I get it... but there was a large swath of voters who stupidly voted for Trump thinking the pre-COVID economy would come back roaring ("price of eggs", interest rates, stock market, etc)

The smart ones - us - saw the tariff sh1t show coming. Problem is not enough swing voters did & they gave orange boy benefit of the doubt. They are regretting their vote now. Andrew Schulz is a big example of this. Can also see it in the leopards ate my face thread

The man who spent a significant portion of his career demonizing Barack Obama is surprised that the the same rhetoric has been turned against him? Who could have possibly foreseen this turn of events?

I have a friend that, like me, is his late 30s, that voted for Trump three times, and will likely vote Republican for the foreseeable future. Ironically, he's Puerto Rican. He's a lot of the stereotype of sub-50 male that they say votes that way. Eternally single, not really making the type of money they want or need to make, and looking for someone to tell them that the issue is that the world is broken, not their own inability to adapt to the world. That manosphere shyt we all make fun of on here really is the gateway for a LOT of people to decide to vote Republican, or at worst, just not vote. He parrots all of the generic talking points those folks have whenever political discussions come up, but has absolutely no pushback other than tired whataboutisms when challenged on topics he clearly didn't consider when placing his vote. So, in short, the answer really is that beyond the one or two things that really caught their attention, most of these voters simply didn't think about or consider the others, let alone the potential consequences. For obvious reasons, he's the black sheep of the group, and doesn't kick it with the group as often.

Trump Pardons Convicted Binance Founder
Pardon follows months of efforts by Changpeng Zhao to boost Trump crypto company

Oct. 23, 2025 at 11:11 am
Binance cryptocurrency exchange founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao
The president signed the pardon on Wednesday, the people said. Trump recently indicated to advisers that he was sympathetic to arguments of political persecution related to Zhao and others, one of the people said.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump had “exercised his constitutional authority by issuing a pardon for Mr. Zhao, who was prosecuted by the Biden Administration in their war on cryptocurrency.” She added: “The Biden Administration’s war on crypto is over.”

Binance didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

A pardon will likely pave the way for Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, to return to the U.S., after the company pleaded guilty in 2023 to violating U.S. anti-money-laundering requirements and was barred from operating there.

The company has spent nearly a year pursuing a pardon for Zhao, who left prison in September 2024 after serving a four-month sentence for related charges. Earlier this year, the company hired lobbyist Ches McDowell to help pursue a pardon, the Journal previously reported.

Since Trump’s election, Binance has also been a key supporter of his family’s World Liberty Financial crypto venture, a business that has driven a huge leap in the president’s personal wealth.
