This is sadly true. I have a buddy and his wife who live in a Trump part of the county. They don't like him but all of his neighbors - who I have met and know - all believe that all of this evidence coming out against Trump is just fake news. I no longer go to visit them and have basically told them that we can meet up when they come over or out my way. I don't need to give my money to that community.
it's just mentioned in passing and they probably don't focus on it, b/c A. it's not illegal in any way and B. it would rank at like #699 on the list of "bad things people in the Trump administration have done." if you include Trump in that, it's #4,567. they'd just talk about how they love Jesus or some shyt

i grew up in the NYC area, i know a lot of people here did too, but i gotta ask - did the rest of the country just not pay attention to Trump? he's been famous for like 50 years at this point. did they just know him as a successful businessman? did they just like the idea of Trump. anyone who ever knew a shred about him knew he was a fukkin shyster con artist dirtbag. yeah, you might have thought he was funny and his lifestyle inspired you, etc... but you want him to run the fukkin USA?
