That could not have been the reason. The Jets are the only fools that were willing to take him there! He should be lucky.

An agent can't buy you skill breh.

When will Geno realize he just isn't THAT good?

:what: Geno is that good. Your really going be pissed because I am bring this shyt up like I did to @mastermind about RG3. I watched the tape. Geno is the best pure passer I've seen out of college. I didn't see Marino as a rookie so I don't know about him but Geno is an amazing passer. I will put some coli bucks on it.

getting drafted isnt about who is good or bad, but about how you are sold.

Blaine Gabbert went 10th when he wasnt projected to be a first rounder by the end of the season, FFS.

Christian Ponder was seen as a second rounder until right before the draft.

Someone may have dropped the ball, and it may have been his agents. Especially with these thirsty for a young franchise QB teams.

That dont mean he good, its just being real.
One scout came out and said it was the talk that his agents did a terrible job with him. He wasn't prepped, feed misinformation, and what not. It wasn't a good look and Geno f**ked up by choosing the wrong agency. He's not Ricky Williams or John Elway, he couldn't afford to choose a sorry agent and get away with it.

Not a good look for Geno though. What does it say for his decision making that he has to fire his agent already before he plays a down of football. That should have been his first big time decision once he entered the draft and he should have nailed it. If i was a draft prospect i'm going with Tom Condon or Drew Rosenhaus all day. I know they gonna push to get me drafted higher than i actually should be. But Geno also should have played in the Senior game. It seemed to help a few prospects out as far as draft spots was concerned.

If he was given misinformation and represented terribly, he should fire them. After all, the positions are slotted and he can run a comparison of last years 39th pick to gauge his value. However, if its just a case of diva behavior, it's a bad look when you add this to the way he acted on draft night. He just needs to get his ass in camp and win the job.

If they advised him to go to New York, they should have had 3-4 teams they "knew" would take him in the first round. That's a failure of management. I've been around enough NFL players to know that agents know the game well in advance.

They should have been fired. If he was a shaky first round pick, they should have told him to stay away. QBs are judged harshly when hanging around the green room. I would have fired their asses too.

That Nolan Nawrocki article was the nail in Geno's coffin. His agent's got handled by someone else's, probably EJ Manuel's, because that article was full of sideways ass half truths just like someone tried to get Cam through Nawrocki when he was drafted. Just lot folks tried to get RG3 before the draft as well.

The media will never admit it and sidestep the story because they're accomplices, but they are used as mouthpieces to bury players.

I agree, he's a Football player, I really don't think he handle the process good at all. Probably the worse I've seen for a big time prospect. He has no endorsements, no shoe deal as well. Was told to not attend the Sr Bowl when many scouts had questions about his deep ball accuracy and his footwork even though he has great feet. While he choose the right person to go to for improvement in Wienke, the process was all wrong. They didn't even prep him for social media. It was all bad. In all honestly, someone that talented should never be a 2nd round pick unless they have a checkered past like a Jeremiah Masoli if he was really good. No one. Smith made the right decision firing his agency. Of course, he made the wrong decision choosing his agency to begin with.

Look at T. Mathieu, he handle the process almost flawlessly. He ten positive tests and still a second day pick then you have Da'Rick Rogers who failed three drug test at UT and got it together at Tenn Tech. :sadcam:

You can tell who had good agents and who didn't.

Really Nolan's article was wrong on a Football tense but was on the nail with the interviews. I heard they were awful. I don't think it was a nail in the coffin but it was like Lennay for Manti. It was the ghost in the closet no one mentioned but everyone talked about behind closed doors. Geno had people who vetted for him but you know...

Let's be honest, Geno isn't the most humble kid. He was overly confident and can speak before he thinks. While he is smart, he can say stuff a little out of place. He is really a reflection of Rex Ryan to be honest. He should have been trained to be kind of professional than real to get a better job even if it isn't really you. He is still a leader but he's not the leader that RG3 or Russell is.

He is not a diva, he is more of overconfident opinionated person who isn't scared to speak his mind boisterously. Think Rex Ryan, not T.O. I think that is what he is going to do it go to camp and fight to win the job. But clearly this is something he needed to do. I would hire Drew Rosenhaus. Even though Drew has been struggling of late, he does a good job with his clients and knows South Florida players extremely well. He generally can get you a good contract and while his rep with players is down a bit, his rep with teams is back up and if given the right clients, he could start going at Drew Condon again like he did back in the day.

i remember Drew Rosenhaus politicking and working the phones for Willis McGahee after he tore his ACL, PCL, and MCL in the Fiesta Bowl and Drew got him drafted in the first round(#23) 3 months later:leon: I think someone like Drew would have made sure he was the 1st QB taken. No way Emanuel should have been taken before Geno...
