here's the difference though.

Troy Aikman went 1-15 but kept his job.

Peyton Manning went 3-13 but kept his job.

Geno couldn't survive doing that because of the 2 elephants in the room (really 1 in Bridgewater; if Clowney gets picked Geno would survive) Even if Geno showed flashes while losing, the fans would never let Idzik live it down if he passed up a sure thing presumably to ride with Geno
If they believe in geno after a 1,2 or 3 win season they'll draft Taylor Lewan to protect him.

so basically you already made up your mind that you wont blame geno for the same shyt you blamed fez ? :heh: because you just KNOW he wont be the reason for your inevitable losses. I see.
Like I said, I don't see Geno making those mistakes week in and week out. If he does, of course he'll get deservedly ripped. I'm saying I don't see being a habitual fukk up. The one thing that works against Geno now compared to Fez is that Fez had MUCH MUCH more to work with coming in than Geno did

Well if he shows flashes and you are in a position to draft a sure thing qb you try to trade geno . That's the point though I mean say Sanchez does the same thing what have you Learned?? I mean real flashes we know if he looks good or not ....

It's gotten to a point where the same people that wanted Sanchez to go or get someone to compete with him, are now complaining that the Jets did that. The commentary after year 3 was "Fez needs competition. It's easy to suck since you know they'll never bench him in favor of Mark Brunell."

*Jets sign Tebow*

"How could they sign Tebow and damage Fez's confidence beyond repair"

*Jets draft Geno*

Well the writing's on the wall, Fez's days are numbered, but why? Give him some weapons and a few hugs he'll be fine.

Yet, those same people will say the Jets need a better QB if they wanna go places. The media that blame Rex for coddling Fez are now doing it themselves. Why feel like Rex screwed over a QB you'd rather not see on the field anyway?

It would be tough to do that, especially with a team that seems like they could never get it right at QB since Namath. Idzik would be banking on Bridgewater not being as impactful as Geno moving forward. What Idzik won't want is for Geno (or Lewan to a degree) to be forever linked with Bridgewater or Boyd. It's bad enough that Dee Milliner's gonna have to go through that as far as being compared to Revis

I understand that, though if we're that bad, it's hard to see Geno having much value, especially with a loaded QB draft coming.

I havent seen any of that, not saying it didnt happen but I def. havent heard much about this....but its kinda funny how some fans after that preseason game changed their position 180...went from start geno now to maybe not start him now :whoa:

If you follow Rich Cimini and his wayward emotions covering the jets, you'd see him suddenly being swung to the "poor Sanchez" side of the boat since the competition has been going.

fukk these Jets beat writers. I told y'all for years they're trash. Now the national media is catching on to the shyt writers that cover the Jets in this city.

It's amazing how much shyt they've caught. That Olbermann segment was :blessed:

I can't recall a local writer here that can get their story straight. Look at how Rex's demeanor gets criticized.

Rex at his most boastful had writers begging him to tone it down stop bringing extra attention, maybe if he fell back and shut up, the Jets wouldn't be ridiculed so much.

Now Rex talks like his balls got cut off and now he gets ripped for not going out with a bang and not being himself. I know you didn't hear this, but Mike Francesa went IN on the Jets for everything the other day, to the point where he was going in on Idzik simply for being boring. He even said Idzik can't draft and used Geno (his 3rd pick) as his example, as if Milliner and Richardson don't exist.

Much of it comes from the fact that the guys Manish knew on the team as his sources (Pettine, McElroy) are out so he has no inside info. I've seen that shyt play out before on other teams.
