david carr got his head rocked cause he was a statue

athletic qbs dont usually have that problem

cause they have a running backs instict and cant get out of trouble and make plays down the field

geno and david car should not be in the same breath

and like i asked

name a top qb that sat instead of playing
Ive showed you he is not a statue. obviously hes no kapernick or something but 4.4 yards per game isnt statue-like

big ben has far worse stats rushing, but you not finna call him a statue will you ?

2nd round is not high, again you arent making any sense
aaron rodgers was selected higher and sat firmly on the bench for a few years, if you want an easy example

So if Geno beats out Mark in training camp, Mark should still start because the Jets offense, in your opinion, sucks? And because since Rodgers sat behind a hall of fame QB, Geno should sit behind the worst starting QB in the league? That sounds like a tremendous idea if Rex wants to get fired by week 8.

you are also being retarded. Im answering the guy's questions and you make conclusions for me :wtf:

personally I think starting geno on your team right away is akin throwing him to the wolves, especially with NY media all around. let him learn the playbook, adapt. starting him from the get go is not a good idea, imo. you guys arent doing much this year, the team is an all around cancer, dont let it get geno.

Right, but not starting him if he beats Sanchez out sends an even worse message to the rest of the guys on the team.

We'll start to see Friday night. If the scrimmage was any indication- I think we'll see some Jets move the ball and their receivers and backs start to make plays with Geno under center.

I can see what youre saying. I don't know, was it/ is it a real competition ? reminds me of last year where harbaugh said it was a competition between alex and kaep and then alex won it 'easily', even though kaep was the better qb after taking over. if your coach has his eyes set on mark then yea

but then imo rex already alienated some players on your team. hes part of the cancer.

Geno Smith

Though its not because I like him or think he’s a better option than Sanchez. Truth is I’m not sold on Geno and didn’t want the Jets to draft a QB this year. Wanted them stick with what they have and wait until 2014 to draft one, when the draft class is much deeper. That’s what the Jags are doing, which is a smart move.

Might as well stick Geno in early and see what hes got. If he succeeds, we have our future QB. If not, then we can just draft a better one next year.

he was drafted high...

he was selcted in the second round

like i said...

name quaterbacks that was selected as a top pick that sat....

ill wait.....
For a QB, Geno was not drafted high.

In this NFL climate, a QB will always get drafted in the 1st round if a team believes they will amount to anything above average. If they reach the 2nd round, they become value aka "why not?" draft picks

This is exactly why I like what the Jets did. I dont think they were dead set on drafting Geno, but he fell to them. Drafting Geno doesnt prevent them from taking another one next year.

Exactly. San Diego drafted Drew Brees in the 2nd and still ended up taking Phillip Rivers. Carolina drafted Jimmy Clausen in the 2nd and still ended up taking Cam Newton.

If a QB is garbage/not the answer, there's no shame in admitting it and immediately searching for his replacement.

Plus the rookie wage scale...and we also have no idea if we'll be in a position to draft a QB we like in 2014
