Georgetown University students vote to give descendants of slaves reparations...somewhat

They basically want to allow a $27.20 per semester fee charged to every student(yes, including on Black ADOS students) and the funds go to some bureaucratic board(ie not cutting a check or granting land to those descendants). Georgetown's endowment would remain untouched. If this is just a stopgap/show of solidarity to lead to something larger, okay, but this in and of itself is seemingly nothing.









It would not surprise me AT ALL this were true. I can easily imagine federal officials saying "Oh, you want to pay reparations? Perhaps you no longer need us to pay you "

To me this is really nothing but it is creating some sort of measly precedent.
Anyway, cacs, why don't ya'll think reparations is fair or just. I know ya'll browsing.
