They're combing through this pilots background as we speak I'm sure because this is starting to look purposeful.

Damn. Maybe they should install thumb readers so pilots can open the door from outside?

Foul play?

Apparently there's supposed to be 2 people in the cockpit at all times in case one becomes incapacitated for whatever reason. So a flight attendant sits in even when the pilot goes to the bathroom.

That and there's supposedly multiple ways to still enter the cockpit including an emergency access code.

Tell me the truth @thekingsmen

Pilot inside the cockpit couldve had a heart attack with the door locked, locked himself in and let it go down, etc. Well probably never know.
autopilot still should've been on breh. I also read that there is a keypad and they have an emergency password they can use but that the pilot inside the cockpit can cancel the unlock that occurs 30 seconds after the emergency keypad password is entered.

They said they lost altitude and hit the ground for 8 minutes, imagine the sheer terror for 8 minutes :mjcry: thats why I have panic attacks when I fly. I'm not going on there without enough xanax to knock me unconscious incase this shyt happens. If it was intentional that's really fukking crazy.

if it was a suicide like a lot of people are speculating, the pilot would have had to incapacitate the stewardess inside there with him while the other pilot was away too. that combined with the terror of the pilot returning only to realize he is being locked out when the access code keeps getting rejected to the point of being driven to the desperation of trying to just bang on the door which is a sign of gradually succumbing to madness in that context makes this one of the most horrific events ever perhaps. thats the stuff of the nightmares you have where you wake up just before you die in it.

iv'e heard stories about pilots from people starting out in the field being over worked and the airlines pushing them to their limits. back to back flights, no rest, underpaid, etc. i remember feeling like the whole thing sounded like a terrible career to try to get into at the time.

I don't like flying either and this is one of the scenarios I fear the most. What if the pilot is suicidal and wants to take people with him? :damn:
