I had to grind like a muthafukka...took me 3 years tho. That's how hard I worked.

I'm already in a museum, so I got lucky kind of. Most people don't get in a museum's permenant collection this quickly in their career. But the NO showed me beacoup love and my state did me justice for their native son. It was crazy. I hooked up with a prominent gallery in NO, who knew 2 famous Harlem Renaissance artists. Once she saw my work and said she believed in me, she made the connections in the NO. shyt, the rest was all Kamala baby!
