just decided to shut my shyt down.. for me it's noticing the time i waste. reading the timeline, liking shyt, comments, my own statuses, pics, convos, messages.... 95% revolving around people i would not see, care about or notice in public, if i didn't have facebook

2018 is the last year for all that shyt really... i'm going back to the 90s where we actually knew people and did shyt together

You're not going to believe this but a couple of weeks ago I went to Best Buy and bought a released old school Nokia phone. I set up my "smart phone" to automatically forward all my calls to the Nokia and I just walk with the Nokia now.

I noticed all this technology and shyt was making me dumb. I can't remember phone numbers, my attention span was lowered, etc. It's a type of behavioral addiction.

The worst part about Social Media is that it exposed me to so much hate - especially on Facebook with all the news story commenters and troll.

I also just deactivated my Facebook about 20 mins ago after thinking about it for months.
I'm not on any social network now. Facebook was the only one that I had.

There is nothing I got to hide or care if the feds are watching. My skeletons are out of the closest (mostly) If I needed to go off the grid I could way easier than a bunch of yall nikka's posting from the middle of a metro city. Telegram breh. You can replace Whatsapp with that. You can create your own channel on there too where you can broadcast yourself which you can use for sharing albums and shyt with friends. It's not the exact same user experience as FB obviously but that's the point. You shouldn't let these commercial corporations dictate how you live your life and how you communicate socially.
