Have any of you got late payments or a Chargeoff removed?
My only late payment was 20 years ago when I was 18. Capital One. They didn't remove it. I did get a debt collection removed. Eye doctor sent the bill to the wrong address and sold it to collections. The debt collector contacted me and I hung up on them went to the eye doctor and paid them. The debt collector contacted me again and I told them I didn't know what they was talking about I paid that.

The Fed is gonna start tapering down it’s monetary support to the financial system in Nov. Inflation has been rough this summer and with the supply chain chain backlogs, I’d imagine it’s only going to get worse for consumers.
Now is really the best time to eliminate all consumer debt if you can cause the outlook for the next couple of years is dim..

Brehs....I NEVER thought I'd reach this point in my life. I remember overdrafting on purpose just to make sure my bills were covered. Had payday loans just to pay off payday loans, I was doing terrible financially.
I mostly had no financial guidance as a youngin' but to get up out the mud at this point of my life....it's something else mayne

Good credit is everything. $ comes second.
My darkest hour was going to a payday loan place to repair a flat tire I had on a Buy Here Pay Here car I couldn't afford.Just paid off my car

My ex wrecked that car and that turned my life around. I was underwater on the car but refinanced it from that BHPH lot to a credit union. An employee there told me get GAP insurance on it and that what got me out of that car. Mom gave me a beater car I drove for almost 10 years.
When you broke financing a car is a real burden. I told myself I'd never finance a car again but here I am with one but it does have a $164 a month payment that's trivial to me. I keep it mostly for the credit benefit of having an installment loan which raises my credit score. It's 2.5% interest on it so not really that bad.

. Go treat yourself to something. You def deserve it. Im 4,800 away from being debt free too.
