It's weird too because Curry averaged a typical amount of points that a Finals MVP winner would get. Kobe had similar averages in his Finals MVPs in 2009 and 2010.
Why do you think the media didn’t want him to have it?

Who had a performance like Iggy(if you respected it)for the Lakers in 09 and 10 for the media to give it to over Kobe?

It sounds like y’all are tryna make a villain out of Steph. That’s far from the case. The media not giving it to Steph says a lot because Steph was/is loved.

I'm agreeing with you

I mean, I get why Steph is hated, but at the same time, I don't get it.

Beyond his capabilities, one thing that often gets lost when discussing his play, is he's fearless. It's why he always participates in the 3-pt contest; it's why he throws behind-the-back passes down the stretch in the Finals of Game 7; it's why he throws up shots when there's only a few seconds left in the quarter (not protecting his shooting percentages).

He's the ultimate entertainer; he plays without a filter. He's a throwback to what all these dumbass nxggas think their childhood heroes were.

bingo, he's what FANS want to see. He's the LAST "franchise player" :yeshrug:

Can someone please explain why the media didn’t want/cheated Curry outa the finals fmvp?

these posts are reading like the media had some type of grudge against him and went out of their way not to vote for him.

the warriors and Curry where loved.

Curry being FMVP would have reflected bad on LeBron. :francis: Before the season, Bron was 'coming home' to win Cleveland a chip. That's all the media talked about.
Curry came out of nowhere to lead the Warriors to a chip and he won season MVP that year. It would have been like he was taking over the NBA. LeBron's Media couldn't have that. 2016 Unanimous MVP was them making up for overlooking what Curry did in 2015 Finals. He didn't get one single vote in 2015 Finals despite scoring 37pts in game 5 with them being down 2-1 in the series. It was a complete narrative to protect LeBron's legacy.

If Curry had that FMVP, still had a 3-1 win record over LeBron and 2 MVPs, 2 scoring titles and the legacy of 'changing the game.' do you understand how he'd be looked at today? :whoo:

Now the narrative is Iggy never made Bron life hell in 2015 :mjlol:

Why y’all think he won FMVP? This is why Bron is so high on stats bc fakkits don’t watch the games they just box score watch. He knows when he shyts the bed he can always just pull up his stats without any context and skip all blame and when it comes to GOAT talk him and his stans use stats to make up for his below .500 finals record. With that being said, there was no way he was winning without Kai and K Love so I don’t blame him for putting up stats to look good in that series
:gucci: Apparently Lebron "put up stats to look good" even though he took two games off a 67 win team with Dellavedova and Mozgov. Lebron had an inefficient series because of a back injury, 2015 was one of the worst years of his career. He faced Iggy four more times in the finals (3 times as a Cav and once as a Laker) and dominated that matchup every time. Iggy should not have won FMVP.. Even if Steph performed below his standards, he was still more of a force than Iggy.

Steph's performance in G5 of the 2015 finals shouldve given him the FMVP

Series tied 2-2
GSW at home. No one else scored 20 points on the warriors but steph.

Steph GOES THE fukk OFF in the 4th quarter of that game. If Steph doesnt go crazy, they lose that game, and head back to Cleveland down 3-2

Iguodala is that dude, but Steph was cheated out of the FMVP :yeshrug:

Iggy had no business winning that FMVP :rudy:

Kendrick Perkins just came out and admitted this the other day.

meanwhile Jimmy butler forced a game 6 with all his best players injured in 2020 and gets ZERO votes off the SAME EXACT NARRATIVE that got lebron FMVP votes in 2015 even tho he lost

the entire thing in 2015 was about protecting Lebron's legacy bruh. It was disgusting what they did to Steph in 2015.

Steph should have won FMVP in '15, I think most people widely acknowleffe that, since the precedent is FMVP goes to the most impactful player on the winning team. Iggy wasnt more impactful than Steph in that series...

But I don't know why cats shytting on Bron. Bron was clearly the best player in the series, and if the precedent, besides the one and only time with West in '69, if the precedent was the best player in the series deserves FMVP, it should have went to Bron. Thats why he got a few votes. Iggy was the Dubs best defender on Bron but his performance has gotten exaggerated with time, he had a really good series for a role player...

He wasnt dictating shyt in that series...

This goes back to people shytting on Bron for similar reasons they shyt on Steph, but yall don't hold other All-Timers to this nitpicky ass shyt. When Jordan, Durant, Kyrie, Hakeem, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq, Kawhi, Barkley, Iverson, on and on and on, when these other nikkas had bad shooting series or a role player played good D on them, yall don't do thus bullshyt and instead minimize why they struggled in said series...

Igoudala played more than respectable, good defense on on LeBron and he STILL had one of the All-Time individual Finals performances in '15. You dudes a trip, we really got cats asking why Bron got votes in here and saying its because "the media" was shytting on Steph for him...

The voters fukked up giving it to Iggy but it wasn't because Bron wasn't deserving. You dudes a trip...

media has too much control over the shyt tbh

2014 Kawhi won FMVP, but it was acceptable bc really anyone on that Spurs team couldve gotten it

Steph increased his scoring off his MVP regular season throughout the entire postseason and he got snubbed. Legit sickening.

Klay had an AWFUL finals in 2015 too, so steph had to completely carry the offensive load w/ his splash brother struggling.

its conflicting

Bron was the best player in the series
but yet Iguodala gets FMVP for stopping Lebron? But if Bron was still the best player, how was he stopped?

Steph getting ZERO is what's fukked up. IDC if Bron got votes, but steph shouldve won.

And in the 2018 finals when Curry was damn near avg a triple double he had a shytty game 3 and they held that against him.. so in 2015 they robbed him where game 3 he should have solidified it and in 2018 they held game 3 against him.. The FMVP voters really need to be called out and named
