FWIW, the pace this year (99) is pretty much the same as what the NBA averaged for MJ's first 10 years (97-102), all the way up until his 1st retirement. The super slow NBA era (pace under 94) was from 1995-2015.

The big increase in scoring is because turnovers are down and 3pts are up along with a return to late 80s/early 90s pace.
BUT HE WAS TALKING
ABOUT MJ FROM
THE SUPER SLOW NBA
SO WHY EVEN MENTION THE OTHER shyt?

I was just throwing it out there, that's why I said FYI.

MJ's stats from 97/98 aren't even comparable to this era cause they had to shorten the 3pt line those years just so they could actually hit a three. :picard:

Right I understand; but the bolded is what I was engaging the breh about. MJ vs Steph at 33 in regards to their respective ppg and the efficiency of it... so what was that, 97, 98?

What's so funny. Quoting me like im wrong:sas2:. Son's team is borderline lottery, not even close to goat shyt, just straight up chucking/volume shooting, when other cats do this its a problem, that's why cats dont rock with you Curry stans in regards to dude, the goal posts are moved quite often. There is nothing impressive about shooting 20 3's a game. Or 65-70 % of your shots per game being 3's That's borderline sad. You're a glorified 3 pt specialist at that point.

Why is shooting a lot of 3s NOT impressive....but shooting a lot of 10 foot midrange shots IS impressive?

Why is it ok to bash Curry's Warriors as a "borderline lottery team" but when MJ was averaging 37 points in 1986-87 and his team finished 40-42...that was cool, right?
Let's keep the same energy.

Word, just like there was nothing special about Shaq's run. All he did was catch the ball in the post and take shots within 10 feet. p*ssy shyt, my eight year old nephew can make paint shots all day. Shaq nothing more than a glorified paint camper

You see how stupid that sounds? Should curry be banging in the paint every game instead of doing what's won him 3 championships?

Comparing Curry to Shaq and MJ now :mjlol:, y'all always find a way. And yeah what they did was more impressive considering they did not need the 3 ball and faced tougher comp on both ends ( Both Shaq and MJ played in arguably the best era of centers and guards :what:, smh at minimizing how they scored), that were more physical as well. Both of those dudes were brutalized lowkey but minimized breaking down until later. If Curry faced the same pressure not only would his game suffer but son would break down drastically, early at that.

Do you somehow think that making 3s is easier than making mid-range shots or dunks?
