Not really. It's how I've always known how to rent when you aren't some big time real estste agent.
My dad always rented his properties on a personal level. He alwayd rent to people he knew for the most part.
I mean you cant(I mean you can) pay someone to be the middle man when you aren't making much with the rent.
It's up to you to make the judgement on who will pay and who won't. I personally wouldn't want the headache of being a landlord

I mean yeah but there are many circumstances where someone moves out the house and gets another house and rents their last house out to pay for it instead of just letting it sit.
I mean I commend the landlord for giving someone a chance for a place to live. But some people are just scum.

My dad rented exclusively to section 8 tenants because he didn't want any issues with getting the check.
Sad to admit that I agree with the Republican f@ggots but This is what happens when you have programs where government paying people's rent. Some people start to feel entitled to shyt they didn't earn and when you take it away they act crazy.
I have this chick who be telling me her dad's situation in New York with tenants. When I'm ready to rent my house I'm getting a property management company even if they take 15% of the money in the process. I'll just raise the rent to offset that cost and call it a day. Renters end up paying the price for other renters antics.

My ass .I tried to be the man and rent out my parents old spot instead of selling. After 5 months of good rent came the excuses then the late rent I did the eviction process through the courts and ended up losing what I had made an then some. House was unlivable for about two years until things cleared up.
There was nothing easy about it. Everybody wants there cut while things are pending, water, electricity, gas, grass has to be cut, repainting, carpet, replacing appliances....i mightve been better waiting for them to leave one day and just putting their shyt on the lawn and changing the locks but there's laws, that's illegal.
This wasnt no section 8 shyt either.
