How much debt do you have and how long do you think it would take you pay it off? If it's less than a year and a half, leave your savings where it's at and just start putting as much as you can towards the debt and get it cleared up real fast. If you think you'll need a car w/i the next year, save up some additional money for that and then get a place of your own.

The goal is really to be and STAY debt free once you leave the nest that way you're less likely to go back. Once you get your own place you can focus on just stacking more money and living your life vs paying unncessary bills.

Do you think you can have at least half of the balance paid off in a year? Whatever the balance is, just try to get at least 25-50% of it paid down before you leave . The loans don't really impact credit, but it's a shytty loan to keep around, imo.

living alone is a milestone in life for a man..you learn alot, you may go through struggles, you learn how to cope with things differently, learn how to handle pressures, budget etc, it can make or break you..I feel every independent man should do this..it makes it much easier if you decide to settle down because if you can hold down a house alone it makes it easier when you get someone else to share the bills.

this but you have to make sure your money situation is solid and you have enough saved
