Most likely went directly to the retailers and had them set a pallet or so off to the side. The retailers don't care since he's paying them what they'd get from a normal consumer. He probably even paid them a little extra off top. They also benefit from having a connection with corporate Nike - which can come in handy in other ways down the line.

I wouldn't worry about her - I guarantee you within a year she will have landed softly at another Fortune 100.

The dirty secret of corporate America is that top tier execs padding their income in unethical ways is very common and everyone knows. They get kickbacks from vendors/suppliers or set up companies to which they enter into ridiculous contracts etc.

There is zero chance that her fellow execs didn't know about this. Her son is probably friends with the kids of other execs, they all follow each other on social media etc. You think those retailers didn't know who Ann Hebert was when they swiped her Amex?
