Kendrick Lamar has been switching things up behind the scenes as he readies his forthcoming album, which he announced will be his final release on Top Dawg Entertainment.

The Compton rapper’s latest change is to his inner circle as he is now managed by Anthony Saleh, who also oversees the careers of fellow Hip hop heavyweights Nas, Future and YG.

The news was revealed in a recent music industry roundup on HITS Daily Double, as spotted by TIDAL’s Chief Content Officer and veteran rap journalist Elliott Wilson.

“Kendrick’s new manager touts hip-hop superstar’s first U.S. live show in years with huge Vegas engagement. Bet everything on the K. Dot,” the blurb reads, referencing Kendrick’s headlining performance at Day N Vegas festival on Friday (November 12).

“Didn’t realize my guy Anthony Saleh @Dude_Br0 was managing Kendrick Lamar,” Wilson tweeted on Monday (November 8) along with a clip of the story. “Wow. Big moves. Congrats.”

Anthony Saleh is a veteran music executive and the founder and CEO of Emagen Entertainment Group, an artist management firm that boasts Nas, Future and YG on its roster.

He became Nas’ manager when he was just 23 years old and has worked with the rap icon for over a decade. Together, they launched the venture capitalist company Queensbridge Venture Partners, through which they’ve invested millions in startups such as Dropbox, Lyft and Coinbase.

As for Future, Saleh took over the management reigns in 2014 following the disappointment of Honest and helped revive the Atlanta rapper’s career with his red-hot mixtape mixtape run in 2015 that culminated in the release of DS2 and his What a Time To Be Alive collaboration with Drake.

“I want [my artists] to have complete control over their creative input and allow me to do what I do best, which is run the business and sell whatever is created,” Saleh said in a 2016 Forbes interview. “If I have to be involved in the creative, I’m not as effective with the business.”

Yeah Saleh is a pretty big heavyweight in the industry. I guess this is another step of Kendrick moving away from TDE all together, as he was in one of those "managed by the same people who run his label" situations that is getting a lot of press right now cuz of that Summer Walker RS article, right?

:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

Young Ant is a monster out here

Couple of things this made me think:

1) Kendrick is looking for some business ventures to get into beyond his music, possibly to launch with PG lang which seems to be a creative space company and not just a music label. Ant is connected to guys like Dee Murthy and knows Ben Horowitz through Stoute connect and did a lot to get Nas into venture capitalism and open him to invest in the new tech companies. Even if Kendrick isnt looking to be an investor per say, Im sure he wants those doors open to for PG lang to be on the frontline with some innovative tech or currency

2) Yeah a Nas/K-Dot track is almost certain. It nearly happened in the past, we know Kendrick said he wanted Nas for Sing for Me. I think Nas is open to work with anyone, I dont think hes worried about who's out rapping who like the fans think. He worked with Eminem officially and still rocks with Hov, so hes not worried about the hype around the track and people debating whos getting who and just looking for music.

3) Mass Appeal/PG Lang projects? I dont know if Ant has a share in Mass Appeal but obviously his guy is a majority founder in amedia company and his other client having PG lang, a creative agency means maybe you might see them do something together. I dont know for sure, Mass Appeal image wise has a real curate history image (doing the Hip Hop 50 stuff, Rick James and Wu Tang docs etc) and Pg Lang ...well we dont know what it is but from that tease clip it look like its catering to young black arts driven content. Both companies could help each other out if they were interested.

I don't want a Nas and Kendrick track, there's no need for one.
