Getting older is scary sometimes…

I’m about to turn 40 soon.

I was on this board since I was a teenager (in its previous form) and Im telling you, it feels like yesterday.

I clearly remember the craziest recent-ish events (9-11, Katrina, Obama, Trump, Covid) as the wildest times of the planets existence. But as I turn 40 and flabby, my perspective is shifting.

My Dad had me around 34, which is normal. But when he turned 40, in 1988, he had to be reflecting on an insane life where he saw unspeakable things and been through the best and worst there is to come, but still he had in his future (in no order):

• The internet
• Biggie & pac
• Super Mario on Nintendo to PS5
• The Matrix
• Michael Jordan rise
• 9-11
• Social media
• iPhone
• Fresh Prince and Martin
• Tiger Woods
• Tom Brady
• Trump Pres
• Covid
• Kobe
• Iraq War
• 2008 crisis
• LA Riots
• OJ
• Marvel Movies
• Oprah

and Much more. All AFTER 40-damn years old.

so I guess, we’ve seen nothing yet…

I remember create a player in video games and had to bump my age up to 17

now if I put my real age in these games a nikka retiring right after the season

I find solace in that we’re all going to die.

It keeps me egotistical enough just know that there’s no avoiding death, no matter the individual or their circumstances.

So technically, you can’t really have regrets. Because everything is ultimately meaningless.

But that’s just an anchoring thought far in the recesses of my mind when it comes to philosophizing about aging and dying.
