LOL, bro most adolescents didn’t travel lmaoooo
I remember growing up sometimes hearing white people talk about travelling here & there.
My parents were just trying to save though.
Then when I grew up my pops paid my student debt.
All because of that savings, parents really lived cheaply all for us kids :mjcry:

The adolescents I knew traveled every summer. I also went to a mixed school (black/white, middle class/poor), so I realized early I was missing out on shyt.

I remember in elementary school the white girl went to Ireland for the summer. She changed her braces to green for it. I’ve been wanting to go to Ireland since. I did get braces at an older age and changed my band color to green once. Felt like such a biter. Lmao!

To be clear, I am enjoying life right now.

For the most part, I feel amazing. In some ways, I am :flabbynsick:, but the weird part is, once you get old enough to be :flabbynsick:, you actually don’t Gaf - and realize anyone who does is actually too young to realize knowing the latest artist or the newest thing out doesn’t matter anymore.

Now, the gist of my post still amazes me. I feel like I’m kinda winding down in life, like entering chill-wisdom mode more than “super all over the place” mode, but literally, just like my Dad’s life, 9-11, MJ, the internet etc could and is in my fricking future and I’m not ready LOL.

Like really, the next 9-11 is going to be some insane sh*t, like half the country blowing up or something. The next OJ is going to be like a Lebron type figure. The next internet is going to be some type of alien technology or something lol.

exciting, scary and wonderful all wrapped in one.

Life always gives you a "but wait there's more" situations, so getting older isn't really something I'm bothered by :francis:

I turned 40 over the summer and honestly this has been the best time of my life. Yea I had a lot more fun when I was younger and got into mad shyt. But I didn’t know shyt either. I’ve had a lot of peers pass over the past 20 years and been thru things myself. I’ve had a lot of close calls and I’m still here. I’m blessed. So as I get older and able to put all those things in perspective I allow myself to live in the moment more and enjoy each day. I used to think being 40 was some old shyt. But I feel good, look good, and I’m successful. Plus being a parent gives me a lot to look forward to

I’m actually starting to like life more at 40.

I know what I like and what I don’t like.

I don’t put up with any nonsense in relationships or even at work.

I date women from ages 20’s to age 40’s

If covid wasn’t what it is I’d be traveling pretty regularly.

I’m just more comfortable with who I am.

no need for all the extra shyt I did when I was younger.
