The indictment would have only been signed when it was ready to be unsealed, that front page is boilerplate, hence Berman hadn't signed yet. This isn't politics, it's Southern District just carrying out their mission.

They are going to ask for no bail, and probably get it. Only thing working against the prosecutors would be her age, and lack of criminal history.

But, she's going to face long odds on spending a lot of time in prison, or beating the case. Without Epstein, the prosecutors are looking for a scalp.
