I was struggling vs the undying samurai for ages then thought let me change my charms, i realised I accidentally equipped the bounty armor and that's why my parries were barely working :snoop: must of been when I got the crimson dye it auto changed. Switched back to my Taro maxed out armour and beat him 2 tries later :blessed:

I need to go get the Oni but so many side things distract me constantly. 25 hours in. Hope you are all minimum hard difficulty.

Really enjoying the game overall, but like the first game..these side missions are mostly dull as shyt
What side missions are dull to you? Most of the side missions alone feel like story missions and are way better than side missions in the first game. Getting new weapons/skills are often part of side missions that aren't really the main story. Hell most people are racking up hours in this without even doing the main story. I like the way some quests appear naturally while exploring. Undying Samurai side quest in this was really good for example.

I’m in the village to the north atm, just nothing really interesting happening in them, you’ll probably further than me, but just at this point, I completely disagree with the bolded, but that might change when I’m further in

Every time I set off on the main story mission I get distracted by side quests

Ended up following the wolf and killing mad nikkas :snoop:
This is the way. I'm here for the distractions. Saving this game for my December off work. Gonna do all types of wandering and beefing off the main story

Consensus is that the side quests in this is very good and the way they're laid out is very natural in that you come across them while exploring the world as opposed to just given random quest to do from people in one location.

The world in this game is much more lively too. I'm about 17 hours in too. The bounties/tales etc are pretty good as well.

that's crazy

there have been endless posts on social media the last few weeks of players completely getting sidetracked from the main story because they're exploring the side content.

Hell, it took me over 40 hrs to take down a yotei 6 member after the Snake. The side content has been nearly unanimously well-received

@Don Homer @Dillah810 @Ruck

I'm fighting him now on the top of Mount Yotei now. He ain't no fukking joke :damn: . He fights harder than the bosses fights :why:
he starts out with the same long-distance strike, and if you ever whiff a strike with your weapon, be ready to dodge/parry because he's gonna attack you immediately

bounty master armor plus the charm of futsunushi (the charm that makes it easier to perfect parry and perfect dodge) are a must.

I played him on Lethal and every single hit is a one-hit KO. it's like the Gna on God of War Ragnarok, or Erlang on Wukong. It's gonna take some time.

EDIT: Erlang is prolly tougher than Takezo, but my point still stands
