I have to say that its clever for suckerpunch to not do what people wanted and make a sequel with Jin in mainland japan since so many other series do that already. They brought a lot of attention to Tsushima island and became named ambassadors for it.

it looks like they are doing the same thing in the Hokkaido region with the Ainu people. That alone will help separate this game from other samurai fiction

really only thing i need improved from the first game, is more npc interaction/mini games. Felt like the world was just set dressing and collectible chasing last time. Would like to be able to enter a tavern, buy a drink and speak to locals about some shyt or whatever. like in rdr2
