All the first party Sony open world games are closer to ubi but nobody will ever admit that. This is the same with dumbed down combat compared to the first

This game doesn't even follow the same open world design of Sony's other open world games. This is clearly inspired by games like Elden Ring and BOTW than the usual Ubi formula.

And yeah they shouldve kept stances. Wouldve been cool having different stances for each weapon.

Without fighting him a second time yet, I assume in order to defeat Takezo the second time, you need to master all the different weapon styles
No. You can fight him almost straight afterwards. If you can hold 5 tokens, you just equip the ones received from his students and camp at the mountain.

You probably will want to master all the different weapon styles though as he will beat your ass.

They replaced stances with different weapons. Pretty much the same effect even though I think stances make more sense. She's not holding all them damn weapons for real unless she got Abbys build lol.

I felt like they could've kept stances, but at the same time I see why they were afraid of it getting too complicated, and they didnt want players to stick to one weapon for the whole playthrough

That's what I meant. In order to actually win against him a second time, you'll probably need to master all weapon styles.

Seems like Takezo is GoY's version of Erlang. The optional boss battle that's as hard or harder then the actual final boss battle

I say it made more sense for Jin because he was taught the way of the sword, and was a legit duelist as a jit.

Atsu is entirely self-taught, so it would make more sense for her to be a master of more weapons to fukk people up.

Keep the stances for the swordmasters.

I love the freedom in this game. Went exploring and found a cemetery to get the dust to throw in enemies faces :whoo:

The boss to beat to get it was kinda tough
He's a little easier if you get the dual katanas ability before facing him. I didn't and it took me a few tries to beat him because of it.
