Sucker Punch employees better get nice ass bonuses for this joint. They did the damn thing.

To put out a AAA game like this on a 60 million budget is unheard of nowadays. They've earned the creative freedom of ND, Insomniac going forward IMO.

And yeah a pirate game done by them would be :banderas:

Would say try and African Tribal Joint, but we know how that would go. :mjpls:
I'm hoping they do a third game in the Ghost Series but for PS6, have a new IP made for end of the generation /next gen and then Ghost 3 can come out mid gen. That way another generational jump can occur. A new IP set in a completely different world/time period would be dope. It's crazy to see this is made from the same people who made Infamous. Infamous series felt like a B grade series. With Yotei they're now at that Uncharted 2 A grade level to me.

Tsushima was better than Uncharted 1 to me and I liked UC1 a lot.

But that jump from UC1 to UC2 was like Terminator to T2: Judgement day.

Tsushima to Yotei is feeling like a similar jump Terminator wise, but maybe greater?

You just have to double tap with the first bow. Two shots to the dome drops em.
I literally got that ability this morning.
Agreed. Kept thinking it was something I had to unlock, but good to hear it's gone. Like the game without it.
No, you were right. It is an unlock.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
@Kiyoshi-Dono @Dillah810 @Diondon
Or anybody else

You all need to put the title in spoilers because I don't know what missions or side mission y'all on or y'all might be far ahead of me, so it's easy for us to know not to click the spoiler in the title without getting spoiled.

For an example do this....

I beat the oni boss

Don't do this

Its still spoiler

That still fukking spoiler without the title.
Fam I’m not doing all that :russ:

There are tons of spoilers in this thread and I don’t click on any because I know it will be A SPOILER:mjlol:
Practice self control my g and come back to the post later:childplease:
Even putting a title to THE SPOILER IS A SPOILER:skip:
I like Atsu, I really do but this Jin shyt got me tight as fukk. She could’ve been the third entry into the series. How you just gon tell us he is the first shinobi and we don’t get to experience none of that:childplease:

Worthy successor to the rightful 2020 GOTY. Imho, a direct upgrade over Tsushima.

Gameplay: 10/10

Smooth, no jank. Just like Phantom Pain back in 2015, the amount of polish they put on is gonna allow a lot of replay-ability, especially once NG+ comes out. Combat is fun, doesn't get tedious or boring at any parts. They've definitely upgraded the AI, the enemies are much more aggressive and combine that with the new weapons they use, can easily overwhelm people who think they can bump up the difficulty and be fine. Pretty sure they've changed the timings on Perfect Parries and dodges, not sure which direction, but it still feels good. The addition of the wolf, firearms, different weapons, etc. added a lot to a gameplay formula that I already thought was one of the best.

Not much else to say here. When they drop NG+, I'm about to be on this shyt like how I was Spider-Man 1&2. :manny:

Story/Characters: 8.5/10

Well-done revenge story. Doesn't throw too many wrenches in the formula that works, not too many surprises. Atsu is a great main character who surprised me a couple of times with her personal growth. What I like about Yotei over Tsushima is probably reducing the cast of allies, and deep diving on only a couple instead of trying to get 8 missions with multiple people that doesn't do much. Imo, you really only end up caring for 2-3 people in Tsushima outside of Jin anyway. Tsushima has the edge narratively, a lot of storylines coming together and I think the inner conflict of Jin was overall more compelling than Atsu's. Don't think Atsu is worse though, she just has a better grip on who the fukk she is at the start and it doesn't really waver outside of a couple of moments.

However, I think Yotei should have added just one more companion, probably in the starting area while also making the boss you fight in the tutorial the area boss like the others in the game. Imo, I think it was a waste putting them in the tutorial when they had a wide open starting area that was honestly just begging for more lore. I think it could have added a lot to Atsu having to deal with her home being in the state it is under the tutorial boss.

They definitely rush the end of the game imho, and steer the player to completing it once you get to that point. Act II is probably the peak with a lot of great moments.

Outside of that, the addition of more named villains definitely helped the story instead of the wave of nameless mongols you faced in the first one. If I would change anything, it would probably making the outpost/hideout bosses be more talked about by the common NPCs you see, just to build them up a bit outside of the bounties.

Side Content/Exploration/Etc: 10/10

Not even gonna go into this on some deep shyt. Game is beautiful, the world is wide open with a lot of shyt to do inbetween main missions. I've never been the type to completely clear out an area before moving onto the next one, but there was definitely times where I was doing a lot of side content before moving onwards in the story. It comes so naturally, and the side content being so good I never felt like I had to rush back to the story for anything.
