winston's the most sane and relatable of the ghostbusters but that doesn't make for a very memorable character in a comedy, the focus is on everyone else, which unfortunately makes it seem like his character only exists because they needed a straight man, a serious guy in contrast to the wacky-ass others
which is too bad because hudson's great in the role and he's the kind of actor that deserved to be getting leading roles
