Just off the strength of the work he put in on 36 chambers the purple tape

plus he has more classics than biggie. Ironman & Supreme Clientele both undisputed classics and sold well. Even though Bulletproof wallets was a failure commercially most hip hop heads deem it classic

Ghostface a much more versatile artist, he could get on any beat and smash it. Big rarely changed his flow up

this argument has been going on since the 90s. they had a rivalry and everything. this is one of those threads that looks like a shock thread but this was a real argument at the time of ironman.

Now I would say that he is. In the late 90's - early 2000's I believed Biggie was the best MC to ever do it. Now I have both Nas and Ghost above him. Those two have generated too many classic verses since BIGs death not to place them above him.

And he's been spitting the same verse for 20 yrs

:wtf:

Is it backwards day? BIG has a far less versatile catalog than Ghost. I realize BIG died but he rapped about the same shyt on 2 albums. Ghost don't even rap about the same shyt on the same album, let alone the same verse for 20 years. You're telling me "Child's Play", "Underwater", "Shaky Dog", "Fish", "The Sun", and "Rise of the Ghostface Killah" are all the same verse?

Biggie's whole sound was changed on Life After Death.

Hell, Who Shot Ya compared to anything on Ready to Die sound nothing alike either.

Biggie made songs for everyone and was damn successful at it, and this dude saying he aint versatile at all compared to Ghostface.

Nobody said BIG isn't versatile. He's not versatile compared to Ghostface.

And he's not. I don't know how anybody in their right mind could argue otherwise. BIG don't have a "Child's Play" or an "Underwater" or a "The Sun" in his catalog. BIG never did anything like "Holla", or "Big Girl", either. And all the songs I named are on albums where no other song sounds like them.
