It's not seeing big's career at all though. He's a legend no doubt,but naw. He's had plenty of time to do more. He hasnt made anything worth discussing since the 18th letter to me. I also think biggie's flow/vocal performance and overall song making ability is better than rakim g rap and common and by a very large margin.
Rakim's flow and vocal performance is/was essentially perfect. He set the standard. His first three albums spawned numerous classic singles. His influence is incalculable.
Rakim as a lyricist could go toe to toe with BIG
His first three albums go toe to toe against Bigs catalog.
Yeah he fell off - so what? It doesn't detract from what he accomplished. And he never fell off on the mic.
It's clearly debatable.
