Y’all nitpick about everything... I think this shyt got some bangers. Obviously it’s not a true Ghostface album, but I’ll take it for what it is.

You're absolutely right. It's a good album with some nice cuts. Some dudes gonna hate regardless. I was probably the first one on this forum that said this will probably be Ghosts' first wack album but I gave it a good few listens and it's not bad at all.
My only thing with this album is the throwaway Ghost verses. If Ghost cared and gave some top notch Ghost verses this shyt would be a problem. I'm not even too mad at the Michael Rapaport intro and outro. The worst tracks imo are the first two that leaked: Velour and Buckingham.

I get why more and more artists are doing this "limited supply" shyt, but I feel like this whole DAUPE! model is becoming a bit silly.
This whole Griselda/Roc Marci shyt, and I fukks with all of them, of bragging about selling out in a day but they're only offering 150 pieces is a lot of
that doesn't impress me at all. And their views/streams+venues aren't impressive either so it's a lot of smokescreens on how big they really are.

You sound like a fakkit. These niche artists and labels are the only people delivering rap music to the 500 people left on earth who actually know what good rap sounds like and you’re here talking streams and numbers.
Ghost is my GOAT but let's be real:
1. The Lost Tapes is a misleading title. This is not an album of forgotten gems. It's an album of new music, with a ton of features.
2. Ghost has disguised his last five albums as solo albums, when they have really been side projects. This one is a side project with Big Ghost producing, and collabs on every track. Previously, there was Twelve Reasons I and II with Adrian Younge, 36 Seasons with The Revelations and Sour Soul with BADBADNOTGOOD. Not bad projects, but certainly not Ghost solo projects. Even Wikipedia doesn't count them as such. Doesn't mean they're bad, but they're not great either. IMO it brings down his value but I'm not complaining. Just saying, the last true Ghost solo was Apollo Kids in 2010, eight years ago.
3. Do you really still want Doomstarks, at this point? As much as I hate to say it, Ghost and Doom don't sound as good as they used to. Like, Rae still sounds mostly the same. Not everyone sounds different as they age. But Ghost and Doom have changed, for the worse. Just my opinion, maybe I'm off, I dunno. They still ok but used to be godly.
That said, I'll probably buy this shyt just because I want to support dude. It's a pity buy though. Sigh. He's still good, but he doesn't rhyme like he did a decade ago. And some of his peers DO.

Ghost is completely washed. Has been for years. That said. I did here some shyt he did with my associate who did beats on the Killah Priest double album that sounded CRAZY. like legit Ghost stuff. He was on beat. Voice was tracked properly. Beats were banging. Sad thing is, they probably won’t ever come out.

I always forget about that one even though Yolanda's House is one of the best Ghost tracks in the last 15 years. I was more a fan of 8 Diagrams at the time although I'd imagine Big Doe Rehab has aged better
