pros

-nice concept, and the usual vivid Ghost crime dramas
-Sin and Deck, as usual. MK and U were cool they did not know how to filter U's voice tho. RZA might have helped put it together but he did not mix this
-the standout songs are outstanding (Murder SpreeCenter/Sure Shot/Enemies)

cons

-anytime you are using a live band, there are some risks. every drum used was either the classic woodblock snare or a ride cymbal, gets a little redundant

-the horn notes were ehh, theres a gazillion horn samples out there that would have been better. the organs did not do much for me either

-my biggest gripe is the flat out BAD singers, these people are professionals? downright awful, they pretty much ruin Catastophie. William Hart was fine on Enemies but mostly all the other singing was bad

-fukkin Cap, finally after 10 years i started givin dude some praise for his 08-12 guest spots, then he shyts the bed on Deck's album and this. Ghost put Cap on, he dont owe him shyt edit it off

ill give it 7.5/10 off 2 listens, i think using Apollo's remixes for 3 or 4 tracks could make it a great listen but as is it could have been a little better.

so the story goes,Tony Starks was part of the Delucas crime syndicate but they ousted him by setting him up wit a crooked female whom he was in love wit that mirked him in a jeep then he rose from the dead as Ghostface Killah and got his revenge on the delucas ? am i right :mindblown:..either way im digging the concept altho the live instrumentation can get a lil repetitive ....every Clan member played they position tho just wish Rae was on at least one joint....5/5 for me tho...this is that 36 Chambers Ghostface right chea..pure murda ! thats my goat :to:

this is dope. the live production and grimy tales is like fresh air to me

i would like to hear more Killa Sin and Adrian Younge collabo's though, man he murdered his verses :whew: the beats fit his style perfectly

Very enjoyable album.

I haven't heard the Apollo Brown remix but the people just wanting regular typical hip hop beats or a RZA track kinda miss the point of the album.

It's supposed to be a coherent musical statement. The live soul/film score sound fits the story concept perfectly. It's just a nice, cool little side project. Ghost rappin over some different sounding shyt, rather than the dry ass boom bap he's been all over the last few years.

Generally I think Younge done well. Sometimes the band sound a little too mechanical but I like the variation of instruments. The keys (and is that a harpsichord? ) sound great. And that bassline on I Declare War is really dope.

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
best ghost record since fishscale. its an ep of sorts but fukk it, kits really good. i think all the wu did great on this from u to cap. the story coulda been fleshed out a lil more but if they dropped a 30 min video with this, it coulda been some extra deep shyt. its a great lil piece. i look foeward to the apollo brown version cause it sounds like its gonna be the best remix album in a long time.

the live band sound DOES get a lil repetitive but it wanst anything that annoyed me. i agree with soul controller, the singing was on some other shyt. it did seem short but i still think it shytS on more fish, big doe rehab and apollo kids

Ghost took note from Masta Killah, Killah Priest and Doom when it comes to "slowpace" "storytellin"

I'm on the first track...Sounds good so far...I'm not going to expect me to feel the same way I felt when I first got SClientale.

Different Era. Different Walk through life.

I'm judging each track by a "chill factor" first...

Track 2 beat gave me a chill :lawd:

God I love life instruments

this album sucks

Ghost still brings it but the production sounds like a never-ending funeral procession. Rza has lost it, he needs to bow out gracefully. This is the same bullshyt he did on the man with the iron fists soundtrack. Supreme Clientele this is not.

For the first time ever Ghostface will bless my recycle bin.
