pros

-nice concept, and the usual vivid Ghost crime dramas
-Sin and Deck, as usual. MK and U were cool they did not know how to filter U's voice tho. RZA might have helped put it together but he did not mix this
-the standout songs are outstanding (Murder SpreeCenter/Sure Shot/Enemies)

cons

-anytime you are using a live band, there are some risks. every drum used was either the classic woodblock snare or a ride cymbal, gets a little redundant

-the horn notes were ehh, theres a gazillion horn samples out there that would have been better. the organs did not do much for me either

-my biggest gripe is the flat out BAD singers, these people are professionals? downright awful, they pretty much ruin Catastophie. William Hart was fine on Enemies but mostly all the other singing was bad

-fukkin Cap, finally after 10 years i started givin dude some praise for his 08-12 guest spots, then he shyts the bed on Deck's album and this. Ghost put Cap on, he dont owe him shyt edit it off

ill give it 7.5/10 off 2 listens, i think using Apollo's remixes for 3 or 4 tracks could make it a great listen but as is it could have been a little better.

Cap's verse was dope, it was like he was really pleading to Ghost not to dikk down this bird.

Very enjoyable album.

I haven't heard the Apollo Brown remix but the people just wanting regular typical hip hop beats or a RZA track kinda miss the point of the album.

It's supposed to be a coherent musical statement. The live soul/film score sound fits the story concept perfectly. It's just a nice, cool little side project. Ghost rappin over some different sounding shyt, rather than the dry ass boom bap he's been all over the last few years.

Generally I think Younge done well. Sometimes the band sound a little too mechanical but I like the variation of instruments. The keys (and is that a harpsichord? ) sound great. And that bassline on I Declare War is really dope.

should change your screen name to music 101 bruh, excellent post :salute:

I'm loving the live instruments.
It's great to me when someone gets a band
and mimics that Hip Hop sound with actual instruments.
Sh1t is always :ahh:

I'm digging it, pleasant surprise :obama:
Think I'm gonna buy this, anywhere I can get a CD ?

Duuuuuvaaaaal!!
This shyt is nice! Loving the concept album feel to it. I can almost visualize the rolling credits on the last track. I'll be coppin this for sure. Gotta support true musicianship when it appears. It happens so infrequently these days...
