I'm still bumping this daily, god knows how many times i have heard it now.

But my opinion remains the same, this project is heat. I knew the typical supreme clientele, ghost aint spazzin, he old comments would come. Hate towards the production is just bizarre to me, but entirely predictable too.

I'll say this again, the production on this album is amazing. The concept is nice and of course Ghost gonna bless the tracks accordingly. The switch in pace of some of the songs is the whole point. Take I Declare War, its supposed to be building you up to the frenzy. When cobblestones follows that track, it makes you feel like sh*ts got outta hand. This album is one big production piece and it works perfectly.

Ghost repped on this album. Just not in the way you all wanted to hear, on some Ironman, Supreme clientele shyt. Deck killed his features as did Killa Sin and Masta Killa. I though Cap repped too ... i personally love that centre of attraction track but some dudes think its corny? I think the track funny as hell. I wasn't overly impress by U God though.

The problem is when someone as talented as Ghost, who has undeniable classics under their belt and one of the best discographies in the game period, they always gonna refer to that golden era. And when they try be a little creative, grow as an artist and change with time, it gets written off as below par or some kind of desperate reach. Nas suffers the same fate.

Your never gonna please everyone, of course. Me personally, i love this album....so lucky me!

On a finally note like most i am anticipating the brown tape too. But i just can't understand why most people think its gonna top this. Its going to take away from the whole point of the album in my opinion, it will sound nowhere as cohesive. But im sure some of the tracks will sound dope.

You nailed it. Exactly my thoughts :salute:

JCal, this is exactly what I wanted to say. fukking potent post. Great album, it's sad that WuTang fans can't expand their minds and see the genius of a project like this and appreciate the finished project. This is the best album of the year, so far. To those who haven't listened to it yet, don't let some of the silly off beat, not Supreme Clientele comments influence your opinion on it. It's a fukking dope, short LP/movie.

Give it a spin, man! This is, to me atleast, much much better than Big Doe Rehab, Wizard of Poetry and Apollo Kids.

I fukking love big doe rehab, and I bought wizard of poetry (:flabbynsick:) Buying Wu-block was the biggest music purchasing mistake of 2012. I will buy this ghost shyt but I did not like the way he spit off beat on the snippets

I been bumping it too for like 5 straight days. When I first heard it, I thought it was a good album. The more I listen, the more addictive it becomes though.

People will like the Brown Tape for the beats. Truthfully, a lot of people will like the Brown Tape way better in terms of listening to a hip-hop album. The beats are fire on that joint from the snippets I heard. The point is exactly what you said in bold however....You hit it spot on. It will sound like and album and not a story. The good thing about the Brown Tape is, its all Apollo so it will be banging too. Just not as visual or immersing.

I would say a brand new chemistry. He is story-telling. And I don't understand how people can't get that through their head. But motherfukk them mother leave em.

This is meant for the Elder Gods everyone else can fall in line.

I don't want to see any suckin dikk comments when Supreme Clientale and the project with Doom drops.

A couple of tracks I can relate to this release. In terms of flow.

ghostface killah ft mf doom angels - YouTube
Ghostface Killah - Wise - YouTube
Ghostface Killah - Malcolm - YouTube
ghostface - It's Over - The Pretty Toney Album - YouTube
this album is more of a movie than anything.. ghost is playing a character similarly to doom.. his flow/focused storytelling lyrics reflect it..

This album isn't good. And this is coming from someone who even enjoyed pockets of Wu Massacre, Wizard of Poetry and Wu-Block.

Personally, Apollo Kids was my shyt. So I wouldnt say its better, but different. This is a good album that stands alone and shouldnt really be compared to previous works because its a concept album with "REAL" production.

I avoided this until a legit rip dropped. I hate listening to stream rips...I'm real anal about quality, especially when it's something I really wanna listen to.

Anyways, having gone in blind, not hearing ANYTHING from the project, I'm loving it so far. The production is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously beautiful. No disrespect to Ghost, but I can just as easily listen to the instrumental version of this album and not feel I lost anything. I feel as if the production carries the story along just as well, if not better than the lyrics to the songs. That's how good I think it is.

I understand Apollo Brown is doing a version of this. While I'm a fan of Apollo, and think that his version will indeed be dope, I agree with an above poster: there's no way in my mind it will match up to Adrian Younge's work right here. Magnificent job he did.

I noticed the "Ghost is off beat" posts, and I do have to agree. While it doesn't take anything away for me, I can see why someone would be turned off by it. All the guest spots are on point too.
