Fish Scale (Three Bricks?) and Pretty Toney (shyt is ill but you know goddamn good and well tush had no place on there) are great but they both got filler. I guess the fact that this is a concept album and its straight storytelling got me. shyt even the features stick to the script (Masta Killa is
) and give another viewpoint on the storytelling.

Apollo Kids just doesn't feel like much of an album to me.

i'm gonna have to wait at least a week, probably 2-3 before i get my cd's & tape. i'm glad they did the download on release even thoguht i already had the album instrumentals as they leaked.
don't know if i built it up too much but i was left somewhat disappointed at first.
it's not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, it's a good album but i know this isn't going to stay in rotation for that long.
it'll be a once in a blue moon album.
it serves its purpose for what it is... a story/movie and you always enjoy Ghost doing it.
they should take this to stage..if Jim Jones can do a play, there could be one made about this album.
was Ghost in the studio with Adrian making this ?...i put articles about the album in the reading list and never got around to them so i don't know certain things.
on certain songs it sounds like he's been sent the mp3 of the skeleton track and spit over it but on the final version it sounds like he's not rapping over the beat..especially on the first song.
Deck sounds the most at home over the live instrumentation by a comfortable distance.
i actually liked Cappadonna's bit part, Sin..thumbs up, Masta Killa has always low-key annoyed me but i'm fine with him on here and U-God i could've did without.
Rise Of The Black Suits is my joint.

This flows so well (as you'd expect), one minute you're at the beginning and then the time passes and the next you're at the end instrumental
