Above the fray.
It all stems from jealous and envy and it's fairly obvious to anyone with an unbiased view of Giannis.

Even the quotes taken from Harrington don't add up. He said Giannis only has success because teams only see him once/twice a year and don't have time to game plan against him.
1) his stats/team record against the teams in his division, and conference......who play the Bucks more often says different
2) just completed his 8th season, so even teams in the other conference have tape on him against them

Al is copping pleas about Giannis' individual and team success in the regular season.

indeed.

it's definitely ugly, but you can't deny the numbers he's putting up and the improvement his play has made to his team.

Exactly, but dudes are too focused on how ugly his game.

In a few years when he's hovering around 30 with still these same flaws, then let's revisit discussion. Now? Too early to trash talk him especially since he's accomplished more than the majority of his peers at his age who are/were more talented than him.

If KD's foot isn't on the line everyone here would be agreeing with Al Harrington. I'm not mad at it, to the victor goes the spoils. I'm glad Giannis claimed his spot, now if they win the title he's certified for life...

Even the tape Miami had on him last year didn't matter this year as Giannis and company completely washed them with the Heat essentially having the same cast as last year.

Victor goes the spoils. They made the plays that they needed to in overtime and that's why they won the game. The supporting cast of Milwaukee stepped up, while Brooklyn's faltered. Brooklyn lost the game, while Milwaukee did what they had to do to win. It's all it is to it.

If an If was a fifth.... :yeshrug:

But Giannis DID step up Game 7. Doesn't make the shyt less ugly, but he stepped up and his team won.

No one cares about the the what ifs because that happens to everyone.

The thing is basketball is a team sport. Bucks know what Giannis is capable of doing, and what he's not. If playoff teams are focused on stopping your star, means that other guys are getting clean looks. If they can knock them down, you have a chance of advancing. If they don't ,majority of the time you will lose.
Look at the superhuman play by all time great, multiskilled KD...he did all that, and because of injuries, and some teammates played like chumps....they lost.
In the words of Brady's wife "He can't catch the ball for them"

Hahahahaha

It kinda reminds me of old (white) football guys like Bill Polian wanting to turn a mobile QB like Lamar Jackson into a statue in the pocket passer right away. I'm not saying Giannis isn't limited offensively, he is. But if he's dominating right now doing what he's doing and like you said has a HOF accomplished resume already, I don't get the criticism when he's not all polished just yet. People just wanna be on this "See I told you so" shyt. Giannis will get there, dude works super hard I have no doubt about it.

All this criticism of Giannis is why I'm rooting for the Bucks. So many people want to criticize him not for effort but because he's not skilled outside of the paint. Like really? That's worth hating him for? At least he's willing to take shots compared to some other players out there. I will never hate on Giannis for maximizing his potential.

Giannis isn't a polished player, but what 26 year old NBA player had the full bag at that age and was a finished product?

none he should be continually improving instead of regressing like a Ben Simmons for example. I can say that Giannis at least attempts to improve his game.

He's trying to get better and people shouldn't knock him for that.

That's why I find it rather hypocritical that people are giving Giannis shyt for actually trying to develop a jumper and improve his game, while essentially complaining and asking of Simmons to do the same thing. I actually don't think that people realize the hypocrisy in their statements between the two players. You can even lump Rudy Gobert along with those dudes as people on The Coli complain about him not having an offensive game, yet want Giannis and Ben to be more like Rudy.

You either want these dudes to play like an actual big man want them to develop some semblance of a jump shot and long range game.

All people are asking to do is develop a mid range game, as good as he was last series he got also got bailed out by Khris Middleton's shooting which allowed him to operate inside.

Yet dudes on this site bytched and complained about Kris Middleton as a player and have been for years and even some during these playoffs.

Naw u can, that’s why he be getting strapped in the playoffs. His bag is partly dependent on ref baiting, nikkas like KD, Kobe and Kyrie go off on all levels cuz they have an array of moves and versatile skills they can use at any point

Harden shyt come down to hooking arms on drives and step back 3s

Harden is one of the most skilled offensive players in basketball right now. He has some of the best counters, handles the ball supremely well, his set ups, size ups, combos collectively is probably top 3 in the league. he’s even way ahead of KD. KD struggles with his handle constantly and loses the ball once you have a strong bodied defender and he can’t get to his spot. This was highlighted in the last game against the bucks, how many times did he lose the ball or get it knocked out of his hands? ALOT. This is the same problem someone like Jayson Tatum has as well. Hardens go-to’s are just miles ahead better than anyone else’s so that’s what he primarily relies on. I don’t know where you came up with this. That’s like saying all Steph does is shoot 3’s and layups. It’s just factually not true.

I mean really? One of the best isolation scores of all time doesn’t have a versatile array of moves?
