Thats fair but 2 me there still on the same relative tier. Joker isnt clearly better. Agree?
Giannis aint on the same planet as Jokic :scust:

Aint no point in even talking about passing, Giannis isn't a 3 level scorer...barely a 2 level scorer.

bytched up and was scared to shoot the ball in crunchtime against an 8th seed. Didn't even play in these playoffs.

Done got two coaches fired. Will have Doc out of their at the latest by 2026.

Miami is a pretty good barometer of the difference between Giannis and Big Serb. Miami was able to beat the bucks because all they had to do was pack the paint and that stopped Giannis from being a threat. Miami never had a real shot at beating Denver in the finals cause that packing the paint shyt aint working against Big Serb, he just put Bam on his back and went right to the front of the rim anyway.

It's still Jokic but it's close bruh...

So far, they've been the Top 2 players if this era, everybody else is after. And they have almost the exact same awards line, one Finals run/ring, two conference finals runs, multiple MVPs (Giannis' DPOY matches Jokic's 3rd MVP)...

Jokic ahead because he is far more consistent in the playoffs. But Giannis is a half-step behind him...

The Jokic/Giannis watch I think is something to track the rest of their careers, and to see is there anyone else that will ascend to their level. As of yet nobody else is on their level...
Victor is already better than Giannis. He'll probably be better than Jokic by the end of next season. Whole reason Denver even ended up on the same side of the bracket as the Wolves is because of this:

Miami was able to beat the bucks due to in large Greek was injured and missed 2 games in the series and came back and was still injured. 2 years prior against that same heat team Greek swept them nikkas and won by 15+ the last 3 games of the series.

While Greek might not be a level scorer, he is on another planet defensively than Joker is and not a liability on that side of the ball.

Miami lost that Denver when they couldnt close a 3-0 series and had no rest going into the finals against the nuggets

I'll push back a little and say Jokic is still clearly #1. Giannis can't control a game like him and for all of the Giannis defense talk, he didn't do shyt when Jimmy turned into '93 Jordan last year. :hubie:

Giannis misses two and a half games b. His problem has been health in the last two seasons.

Yup.

Giannis needs to become a 35% shooter from 3 and shoot 75% from the FT line.

He has become a good playmaker.

It would extend his career if he improves his shooting.

Anything is possible... Brook Lopez became a plus shooter from 3.

Giannis works hard. But I think he isn't working smart. He had a better shooting form from 2013-2018.
If I recall correctly someone on the Bucks made him change his shot form awhile back and it's been downhill ever since shooting wise. And he has become a good playmaker but there is definitely more room for improvement, he still looks shell shocked in the lane when he can't dribble through or get a shot up so it usually results in a turnover.

He to busy being a liability on the offensive side of the floor, being to scared to shoot the ball and hot potatoing is to Jrue so everybody can clown him for being 4 - 17 when 8 of his shots came with 5 seconds or less on the clock cause Giannis wasn't close enough to dunk and aborted the mission.

And is Jokic REALLY bad defensively or you just assuming he is cause he a goofy looking cac? Cause Denver has finished top 10 in defense 4 straight years, with Jokic playing around 34 minutes a game. How can they defense spend entire nba seasons in the top 5 defensively if he is so bad defensively?

Spoiler alert...it's because he isn't bad defensively. He is no Giannis, but Jokic is viewed as a bad defender just cause he a euro cac.

I don't see how this is a conversation. When one player gets sent home early by the same team another player mops up...it aint nothing to talk about.

And :mjlol: at no rest going into the finals? That's why they couldn't stop Big Serb from putting up historic numbers in the finals, cause they were tired? Who was their coach? Dan Quinn?
