LeBron the only player I've seen that gets hyped based on what he supposedly could do. And the things he could do get more and more absurd every time he fails, so basically every year. LeBron would never come close to averaging 40 11 and 9. He's never even averaged any of those stats individually let alone all together

I do agree with Gil that he's not a stereotypical 1st option, but its nonsense that he's not a 1st option at all. He's been the best player in the league for quite a few seasons, just because he doesn't shoot every time (although that def wasn't the case in the finals) doesn't mean you don't want him being your go to. What Gil should be calling out is the fact that LeBron tries to be so 'all around' all the time, he takes away from his teammates who aren't spot shooters.

Oh and 2nd or 3rd all time?? Foh.

That's not what Gilbert is saying though. There are plenty of people out there that say what you wish Gilbert had said. You should be quoting one of them instead.

It means LeBron is a monster but since he cares about winning and doing what is best for the team, we will never see the individual numbers he is capable of. I'm not sure why you keep insisting this is a slam on LeBron.
