Gil is flat out wrong on his Giannas takes. Dude has improved every year since getting into the league. Im talking straight clutch with the freethrows and dominating 4s & 5s. His bball IG has improved also. Why toy around with someone that smaller or weaker than you, bully ball they azz.

I watch Gil pod pretty regularly and dude will never criticize Lebron and the Lakers. He had them being contenders last season. Any NBA fan knew that roater wasnt good enough to contend.

I think there are legitimate criticisms to make about Giannis’ game but to say he doesn’t know how to get better is straight bullshyt. He’s improved every year. Argument could be made that he’s maybe plateaued but that’s not what he’s saying. Gil and Andre Iggy are two people who think that because they talk a lot it means they’re smart or right — two smart dumb dudes. Well, I think Gil might just be a dumb dumb, without the smart.

I respect Giannis and he is currently trying to improve his game, but to Gil's point....there is a legit appreciation for the aesthetic part of basketball that matters to a lot of ppl who have played and followed the sport. Historically the smaller you are as a player, they less you can rely on your athleticism to be effective. They have to use skills, fundamentals and hone their crafts to a higher degree than those bigger and stronger than they are and some people rate that more. It is what it is

Giannis is the obvious best player in the league in my opinion.

Bron is in the bottom half of the top 5 at this stage in my opinion.

Bron, Luka, and Trae, Durant , Curry are the next 5 after Giannis, Embiid, Jokic.

A man who can put up a 50 piece bucket and fries in a closeout NBA finals game to become finals MVP and bring a chip to the city of Milwaukee for the first time since 1905 after signing a contract extension with them instead of p*ssying out joining and creating a superteam can't be classified as a man that can't be better

Alot NBA players saying similar shyt about Giannis tho. These the same types talking bout Mamba Mentality too

This is probably something they discuss in private and are in agreement with

does he? every time i hear about him, it's cuz he has a dumbass take.
This. Another quintessential smart dumb nikka is all I’ve ever got from him. He’s an entertainer and that’s where it stops.

In terms of Giannis and not knowing basketball, people only say that because he’s tall and they think he just barrels to the basket. Well Giannis ain’t the only 6’11/7 ft that exists. If it were that simple they’d all be doing what he doing. Most of them nowadays can barely see the floor let alone avg 15, let alone be an all star, let alone be a superstar, let alone be a top 5 player, let alone a mvp/dpoy/fmvp potential top 20 player all time.
