yall really are delusional

yall believe a person is getting paid 3 milions dollars per year to host a youtube basketball show?

no wonder this world is the way it is
Yeah, I have to agree here. Gilbert is clearly inflating numbers or just straight up lying. The return on investment wouldn’t be there from a company standpoint if you are paying someone like Josiah $3 million a year.

The viewership and the advertising isn’t there, even if it is a big gambling company.

Hell, that’s GMA anchor money. The dudes on First Things First don’t even make that, let alone most of the people on ESPN.

I would say they bring in 6-figure salaries, probably mid six figures at best.

Watching the football show compared to the basketball show, you can see why Underdog is willing to put more behind it.

Aside from the :mjpls:the NFL brings, it’s just a better more organized show. Less cursing, less yelling, they don’t talk over each other, and it flows a lot easier.

I like Gil’s Arena more than any other basketball show, but all the cursing and unprofessionalism gets old. Same reason why I don’t really watch It Is What It Is anymore.

I was watching the clips from yesterday's return and immediately thought the same, nikkas was just hollering, I couldn't even finish the segments

Yeah I stopped watching when they leaned way too much into the yelling. Earlier in the show's run they actually gave way more insight into things like locker room culture, life as an NBA star, and more actual basketball analysis. Now it's just hot takes and yelling.

People got mad at me when I said it's just First Take except they can curse

None of them dudes are good at analysis. Just wrong and strong all day

They have their entertaining moments. But they could be much better
I don’t even mind them being wrong or having a wild opinion, but the execution of the show is too sloppy and unprofessional at times to even want to sit through it

Underdog Sports (Underdog Fantasy) is valued at approximately $1.2 billion to $1.23 billion following its Series C funding round in early 2025. This valuation was reached after the company raised new funding, which saw its worth nearly triple from its previous valuation of $485 million in 2022.

Josiah and the rest of crew making a couple of M’s isn’t as far fetched as you think.

Those episodes get chopped up 2-3 different ways on multiple platforms. You have Long version/parts/clips and shorts on youtube/facebook/snapchat/tik tok/ instagram/x. Also the revenue you get on some of those other platforms are better than youtube.

Did they really say that the show would only be on Wednesdays and Thursdays? If it's only two days a week at least try to spread them out during the week.
I forget the exact days they said. Would have to rewatch the video. Now are they only doing this because football season is still on. And maybe once they get deep into basketball season, they will have more episodes?
