What a shame. RIP to her. I think I'd black out on those kids if I was her dad. Might go after their parents too.

Should be a zero tolerance policy with bullying. Charge those kids like adults and also charge the parents. Teach your kids how to defend themselves. Get them involved in martial arts. Scouts, sports, things that build character, leadership, etc.

Sue them all tbh. Try the kids as adults for assault, including and especially the person who posted that video online for her to be humiliated.

Like I said in the thread where that student broke that teacher's leg: if you want to go someplace to engage in combat, then you need to be in prison because you'll find all the competition you need there.

I also said it before: to those kids who don't want to be in school and would rather cause trouble, they should be able to leave as soon as they get their license. That way you won't have resentful older kids that don't want to be there picking on younger kids.

Time to start making examples. Sue that school to the ground.

"A teacher briefly comes out of a classroom, and then goes back inside, as Adriana's boyfriend tries to intervene."

:picard:

it’s kind of fukked up but teachers are often urged not to physically break up fights by admin…it’s possible he/she may have went back in the room to buzz/call for help…personally I hated to see students fighting so I’d try to break it up even tho I could risk getting punched/kicked etc…on the flip side I had to be careful restraining students especially if it’s girls fighting…I don’t want to hurt them or hold them in a way that they could try and accuse me of being inappropriate later on

Basically if there's a commotion and kids are in class with a teacher, that classroom goes on lockdown. They lock or secure that door, no one in or out.

yup you’re right…that’s another thing…if you leave your classroom unsupervised to break up a fight and something happens in the classroom (another fight, etc.) then the teacher can be held accountable…the times I had to break up a fight in the hallway or the bathroom, I had to confirm with the teacher next to me if he/she could watch over both our classes

Although it's not realistic, banning phones in school would help. They jump kids for clout.

I seriously don't understand why it's not realistic. Having a phone want even an option when i was a kid. Rich schools and charter schools ban them. Not having a phone in school needs to be normalised.

Thank God private schools aren't known for a bullying culture or student suicides.

We need to start charging parents. There are too many parents who don’t instill the proper values in kids, and they think violence is acceptable. This was planned, and the girls got excited, and we’re recording the whole thing. They took pleasure in filming, hurting, and embarrassing that girl.

We forget that bullies grow up and have children. A lot of parents simply don’t care if their children are disrespectful, as long as they don’t disrespect them. We see grown women fighting. A lot of those women are mothers.

This happened at a mall about 30 minutes from me. And this is the NICE mall. Woodbridge Mall is up the road.

It was a fight, someone got stabbed. We only go in the weekend, but from what I’ve heard, the kids act up in the food court at night.

Unfortunately, school shootings happen now, and kids have been able to call 911 from barricaded classrooms. But they can’t blame that one on us.

Well, working in an inner city school, I can tell you the problem with that is complex. You got kids who take care of their mama, gma. And they need to reach them for emergency. You might say "Call the main office". In the schools I work these secretaries are lazy. Won't answer the phone. Forget to give messages.

2ndly, kids need phones getting on the bus. You might say "collect them at the front door". That works at a smaller school. But with bigger schools with low staff. I've seen phones get stolen.

3rd, technology wise, alot school work is accessed through the phone. Microsoft Team, teachers use activities where they quiz kids through the phone. You might say " get a computer". But alot parents don't see it as a priority or can't afford it.
