I tried. I honestly believe that if you're not a pretentious self-righteous hipster, you will not enjoy this show.
The thing with Hannah/Lena Dunham... it isn't just that she is fat... She is just the sloppiest body type known to man... Like she has never done anything remotely athletic in her life accept eat cupcakes while lying on her back...

She got some weight on her, but not like every actress needs to be a skinny model. The look of the cast is what we see in real-life and realism is what the show is after.

he is a 100% right. I stopped watching the show halfway through last season because of a lot of these issues.
The last part about the men being the most interesting characters is the realist thing he wrote during that article. The male characters were funnier and had a lot more to them than the females.

There's nothing REAL about this show. Unless you consider being a highly educated, dumbass, poor, pretentious douchebag to be real. Sorry but I live on this earth and don't know many people like that. All in all the show is a joke .

show is pretty wack overall.
Dunham's body is definitely off, but it's less distracting than that woman in the first Paranormal Activity. The entire film I was looking like 
"She trying to look like some off-duty cheerleader sorority girl?"
