I still got one more episode to catch up to but got damn this show has succeeded in making me hate ALL these characters. They are the worst collection of friends ever.
Hannah - Self explanatory. Fat, selfish, and mostly an idiot.
Marnie - She's the most selfish of the group (which is an amazing accomplishment). Her entitlement bleeds through the screen. Ironically, she's still a sucker for love like most pretty girls.
Jessa - I hate this bytch. I don't see how anyone tolerates her antics. She has ZERO redeeming qualities. ZERO.
Shoshana - Another airhead selfish chick. She was nice in the beginning but now she's been exposed as a smoking, cheating, self-centered chick.
I literally watch each episode with a mix of the
faces. I wish nothing but continued misery for each of the main female characters.

I had to go back a few episodes. Been watching True Detectives and couldn't let this bullshyt fukk up my high.
So I'm watching episode 8. Ray just broke up with Marnie. He's such a fukk dumbass. Shortie just wanted someone to chill with. Why's he acting like he couldn't stick his penis in her at night and find someone real in the daytime?
Watching episode 10.
Dead ass thats the exact scene everyone who drinks with their coworkers tries to prevent. It's one think to get smacked with your friends, throw up, and have em send you off in a taxi. It's another thing to do it in front of people that you have a professional relationship with.

Watching episode 11. Of fukkn course Ray wasn't gonna pass up that Marnie coochie for long. You know how they have dunking booths at fairs? If there was a smacking booth available, and Hannah was posted up in one, I'd drop a cool 50 to straight up wash that bytch. Jessa on coke is more tolerable than a sober Hannah. When she said "everything is my business," my immediate response was "that's your fukkn problem." Everything about that scene screamed momma Hannah. "Put your dikk away….Adam did you know this was going on."

Yeah man that shyt was silly. Who doesn't lock their door? But beyond that, what was Hannah's motivation to barge in dude's room? I know she's a terrible human being but even that doesn't make it make sense. I could see if he yelled out "Oh Marnie!" or something.
If I was Ray I woulda two pieced Hannah while my dikk was still out.

I used to think this show was a satirical mocking of self absorbed hipsters but I don't anymore.....I think Lena Dunham really thinks these people are cool and interesting...
Have you guys ever listened to her interviews? I've heard her on B.S. Report and Marc Maron recently and she is pretty much identical to Hannah in real life..She's not really acting on the show.... In the Maron interview she mentioned her boyfriend like 6 times in the first 10 minutes and bragged about owning vintage Mary Tyler Moore posters...

It's foul that I watch this show once in a while and just think "None of these characters deserve happy endings" ...not even close. Always Sunny aimed to do a comedy about terrible human beings and I like all of those characters WAY more than these awful characters.

Man I hope Lena Dunham isn't like her character in real life. Hannah is flat out despicable.

That's the thing tho...seeing that Lena is like Hanna, she DOES believe there's something deeper here. If you ever see her 'inside the episode' recaps it's clear she really expects you to empathize with these brats.

You're right.. I had her and this show pegged all wrong...It's gonna be hard to watch going forward knowing that I'm supposed to be taking them and their issues seriously..
I thought I was watching some Colbert Report level trolling where we were all in on the joke together... I thought she KNEW that all these characters were villians...
