I don't think the Lakers will keep KCP. He probably wants to get paid and they want to clear cap room for 2021. Unless AD signs a 1+1 and opts out, they can't keep him and still have cap space to sign a big star next year.

If AD really does get a 2+1 deal to take advantage of the 10 year max, they should sign and trade Pope. Package him with a first round pick, Kuzma, and McGee and get someone on an expiring like Oladipo.

We are trying to repeat. You can always trade him after to clear salary.

Detroit will probably over pay because if he is only getting around 10 mil, he has much better options

But it does make you wonder if guys will take a large one year deal and re-enter free agency next year since very few teams have space this offseason

Players you’ve never heard of tend to be the best FA signings in the long run.

In 62 games, he averaged 13 and 6, with a block and half a steal a game in 20 mins. Also shot 39% from 3. These are the kind of numbers you want from your PF (he’s a true PF, so AD would have to play the 5).

Idk why philly gave him up so easily when he came into the league. I think the Lakers or warriors will scoop him up.
