Let's be honest it's not new Kendrick fans that like his album more, it's niccas like you that really like S.80 mellow ass vibe, He's just grown as an artist on this joint breh, it's inevitable to escape, too each his own I guess

you make it sound like Section 80 is 36 Chambers and GKMC is 2001. i'd say the biggest difference as far as sound quality & shyt goes is probably Dre's input in the mix. other than that, Section 80 is fine as far as mixing etc goes.

not to mention even if S80 was that bad compared to GKMC sound wise then it wouldn't matter, good music is good music, just like 36 Chambers or Black Moon is still classic & it's BECAUSE of the grimeyness in some instances

Section 80...GKMC has some gems on it though...not feeling all the skits, I get what he's trying to do, its cool for the first couple listens but gets annoying after a while...
