Because it’s exactly like the first film with a few tweaks here and there.

I just saw it, it was entertaining enough to me. Nothing great.

Of course there was the bad CGI with the baboons and sharks, but the bigger flaws had to do with the script and characters not being as fleshed out. The end also is rushed.

Haven't finished but this feels like a parody film. Denzel not even trying to act like this time period. He's just being himself. And that's not a compliment.
