Absolute trash, 2hr 30 min and none was spent developing this nikka, Denzel just took on his cause on first meeting without reason or questioning. The twins where supposed to be decadent hedonists, but we saw none of it and we where just supposed to hate them. I'm No diddy gang but atleast have them engage in some Caligula type debauchery.

And this nikka Paul Mescal has no gravitas whatsoever, nikka just wasn't believable. But as anything with Ridley Scott, the movie looked great and atmospheric but lacked feeling

Super late pass: Finally watching this on Prime. Halfway through and its awful. Don't think I can finish it. Stopped at the sharks in the Coliseum scene

IDk breh, definitely miscasts and edited badly, especially them damn sharks. But the script is something I could've scene working with a few adjustments. The overall idea of Denzel's character waiting in the cut for revenge wasn't a bad idea imo.

so I'm finally getting around to this, and 28 minutes in, I can't help but to think this is basically a reboot of the OG story except set after the events of the OG.

so I'm at the part where they are in the coliseum full of water and sharks and this shyt is COMPLETE nonsense and

there is NO WAY in hell for the romans to fill the colosseum with sharks and water 2500 years ago without the advent of heavy machinery. it cannot happen, it would not happen. i know this is entertainment, but I cannot take this shyt serious now that this movie has turned into complete SCI-FI.
