I saw the interview yesterday morning and agree with most of what G said. Pac came to Death Row to benefit from what Snoop and Dre had popping. Pac was broke when he came to the Row. He had no monster hits like Snoop til after he got there. He may have surpassed him in popularity towards the end but for most of their time together Snoop was bigger, not even sure how that is debatable.

Dear Mama and Keep your head up were both #1 singles. I get around always was a smash hit.

Snoop was the bigger rap star, no question.
PAC first two albums took years just to go Gold, while Snoop went crazy out the gate.
A lot of copycat acts and biters came after that Chronic/ Doggystyle wave. Shyt changed the game.
The controversy/ news reports helped Me Against the World sell.
PAC was and is a better rapper all time tho.

The way Glasses was talking you would think it was a 50 Cent signing to Shady/Aftermath situation. Pac wasn't some underground dude with a street buzz, he was a platinum selling rapper...who was already signed to Interscope. He changed subsidiaries.

Pac was out before 93 lol

Snoop was always bigger with the exception of Pac’s 9 month run at DR

and when the inevitable happens Snoop will be just as big, if not bigger in death....

Snoop was the bigger rapper in 93/94 but lets not kid ourselves no one was checking for Snoop in 95 and when Pac joined Death Row Pac was by far the bigger star.
Now if we're talkin globally in 2019 that shyt ain't even close and anyone that says otherwise never left his state
Pac is the closest thing to Bob Marley in terms of popularity :yeshrug:

The one who really deserves the credit is Dr Dre.

Snoop, 50 Cent, 2pac, Eminem...those are arguably the 4 biggest impact rappers ever and Dre is the mastermind behind all of their peak success years. Even Kendrick, I don't got him nowhere near those other dudes but for the new generation he is mammoth, and Dre had his hand in that too.

Oh, and Snoop was on fire for around 3 years then fizzled...yet somehow he remains the most recognizable rapper in the world. That's nuts, lol. Glasses Malone is way overhyping Snoop here, even though he had some points.
