However u feel about ados vs africans its not a good look that the predominately black continent is the one with the lease electricity

I'm aware of the colonization/white peoples fault stance but still.

Same sh1t yall talking about africans is how the rest of the world talks and feels about us too, there's no seperation.

We are not African and there's an ocean plus about 400 years of history separating us. I get what you're saying, but fukk that noise.

We are as different from Africans as Japanese are from Chinese.

Misleading.

1/3rd of Africa is literally just desert, and the vast majority of the rest is made up of dense rainforset, mountainous regions and arid savanna.

You're obviously not going to see many lights in the Sahara desert.

Exactly. Came in here to say this. Not to mention jungle in the central regions. Its like asking why are there no lights in Nevada or the Amazon forest of Brazil.

@Orbital-Fetus , this is propaganda. Why did you not show vast swathes of canada that are dark or the vast swathes of russia or Saudi Arabia that are dark? Hell, even china only has lights in the metro areas, which is no different than most of the countries in the continent.

Its an anamoly for a place like europe, the northeast US, or japan to have such densely packed metropolitan areas. They aren't the global norm. I wont deny the underperformance of some nations, (south sudan, malawi, etc) but most african nations are incredibly average in light distribution when terrain is taken into account.

There are countries like South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ghana and Kenya that are doing relatively well.

On the other hand, Congo is a shame to the entire African continent. (only 9% of 90 million people have access to electricity)

i also posted an image of the US with vast swath of darkness in the flyover states as well as an image of Australia and China which is super barren other than parts of their coasts.
