I wasn't married yet or have kids, but I got shyt on by 2 different women at 28 and 30. To this day, I can't even really acknowledge how bad they both shyt on me, and I'm honestly probably more mad at myself that I suspected/tolerated shyt despite it being blatantly obvious.
It comes from scarcity. Fear that she was your world and you'll never find another.
Some women can be really fukked up. Glad I didn't get jaded to the point I became dark towards all, but it definitely almost happened. In some respects, my heart definitely is 100 degrees colder. But I don't lead with that. I give everyone a chance. I just don't put anything past what a woman is capable of.
Helped me respect myself though, probably the compassion and grace I used to freely give, I put back into me and value myself 10x more. I rather lose a shyt ton of money than be connected to someone who doesn't respect me.
What's funny is both of them reached out to me several times years afterwards. Almost every ex I have does because they know I treated them better than anyone else they'll ever find. And the irony is because I was so "nice" that's probably why I got shyt on. Not saying you can't be nice, but "kind" might be a better term.
