First off, if would have to be done with the aim and desire of reintegrating into the continent and African cultures. That is the only respectful and sustainable approach to repatriation. Otherwise, New Afrikans would be going with a settler-colonial mindset, and could be used by imperialist powers (see: Liberia).

Initially, there would be some economic dislocations and strains on infrastructure and services. This would likely, in turn, strain relations with native Afrikans, and unfortunately there may be some strife. But, New Afrikans would have a lot to offer in terms of skills and capital.

All I know is that Mexicans and other non-white groups would be in for a rude awakening. We are the scapegoat. Anything bad happens that doesn't involve terrorism can instantly turn into a conversation about us. They can deflect to us on anything. White guy robs a bank? Blacks do it more! White shoots up school? What about black on black crime! Mexican gets called names by whites? At least I'm not black! With us gone they will get all that white hate. Many of the black Americans who settled in Liberia were prejudiced. They thought their light skin and Christianity made them better than the native people. They also sold the natives into slavery. When Liberia became independent only the settlers and their descendants received citizenship,



I know black Americans mean well when they say things like all blacks should speak Swahili but that just shows a high level of ignorance about the people on the continent.
