Im born in 94 so i just go by stories, but one thing i noticed, looking at numbers, Dallas and Fort Worth murder rate was extremely high in the late 80s and early 90s, I mean higher than DC/New Orleans/LA/Chicago/St. Louis/Bmore/Philly/Miami, I wonder what happened to calm it down. was it stricter laws?

anytime the city is shamed nationally they ramp up the task force raids. two times that happened was mid 90s like shop was talking about after the race riots during the Boys parade, other time was the couple years after the city got the highest crime tag in '04. also disd implemented strict dress code in 05 or 06. before that everybody was coming to school flamed up with their dead patnas or their hood on their tees (i still got them in back of my closet lol), you can imagine how much plex that was causing in the schools. then you got the growth of suburbs like desoto and cedar hill which is a totally different environment from growing up in the city.
