Loud Records/SRC for me...

Steve Rifkind provided a home for the Mobb and Wu as well as Xzibit on the West.

In Fat Joe's book, he said how Steve grew in a Gangsta Family and how that stuff impressed him.

Signed Pun off the strength of Fat Joe's rep and signed the Mobb on the spot after they was in the bathroom rolling up blunts.

Rawkus gets a honorable mention from me...

It was Loud Records for the backpackers.

Those Soundbombing compilations weren't bad until the 3rd one.

Lyricist Lounge 2 was my favorite as well.

When it's all said & done, even though it has fallen a long way in the last 10-15 years, the real answer has to be Def Jam. Death Row has a small but amazing catalogue, Loud should be up there IMO.

A lot of artists don't identify as Def Jam artists. Maybe only LL Cool J. He's the real Def Jam artist. Wasn't RocaFella under Def Jam? DMX was Def Jam but I don't think he identifies as Def Jam. He's not like he rocked a Def Jam chain. He rocked Ruff Ryders. So Def Jam has the most under its umbrella but it's not the label that artists would rep like its their gang.

each of these albums can be considered the GOAT rap album except for Above the Rim (which is still one of the GOAT soundtracks)

It's Death Row easily.

DJ had a 20 year run. Even if you exclude their subsidiaries, it's still Def Jam, and not even close.

With that said, I'd go with Loud as #2

There's def jam and then everyone else competing for 2nd place. To the original poster, how are you gong to have Def Jam AND Rocafella when Rocafella after Reasonable Doubt was under the Def Jam umbrella?
