I just beat the Thimberwinter section of the game. Holy shyt the game starts off super intense. The Bear/Atreus fight, the Thor fight had a breh sweating on hard difficulty 
Combat is even smoother I just unlocked the classic get over here kratos move from the OG

you have to get past the very beginning and get to the dwarf brothers house.
If PS4 'held' this back graphically I certainly can't tell
